“Over the past year our little bakery has shed some skin and realized a new purpose. I want to honor my Mexican and Colombian heritage as La Reinita. Most of my earliest memories are surrounded by my tíos, tías, and family at one party or another. If it was somebody’s birthday, baby shower, or any accomplishment we were together. The importance of family imbedded in me is because of my Mexican and Colombian roots, which is something I don’t take for granted.”
