Michelle is the Director of Development and Communications at La Cocina, a non-profit kitchen incubator in San Francisco that cultivates low-income women food entrepreneurs as they formalize and grow their businesses.
Previously, Michelle co-founded Current, a now global communications agency, ran her own consulting business, and co-founded a school communications software startup called HEARD. She has worked with two of the world's leading communications agencies -- Weber Shandwick and Edelman, advising teams at Burt's Bees, The Clorox Company, Nestle, Kraft, and more.
Community service with local schools and non-profit organizations has always been a personal passion, which includes a decade of volunteerism with La Cocina -- from serving food at events to serving on its board.
